- What does Eclipse
Financial Do?
- We administer debt settlement programs
for consumers by providing customer service for companies that
originate them. Eclipse also negotiates settlements on behalf of those
clients/companies.
- What is the best
way to contact you?
- We prioratize online inquiries via our
web site (www.exlipseservicing.com). Every inquiry, whether online,
mail or phone is assigned a unique ticket number, thus ensuring
everyone is dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
- When do you settle my debts?
- Debt settlement timing is based on many
factors, the most important of which is making sure the debtor has the
funds required in their savings account to settle the debt. Other
factors are debt size, pressure from creditor and age of debt (from
original default date).
- How will Eclipse Financial
settle my debt?
You
will be asked to save a set amount of settlement funds on a monthly
basis. This amount will be determined in your initial consultation
by a debt consultant and is based upon the total amount of debt owed
and what you can afford on a monthly basis depending on your income
and expense budget.
- Does debt settlement have a
negative impact on my credit?
That
is indeed a good question! The first step to a sound financial
future is to recognize you have a debt problem, not a credit
problem. Your credit has probably been affected negatively due
to the insurmountable amount of debt you have accumulated. So the
answer is yes, there will be a negative impact on your credit
initially. However as you work through the program and we begin to
settle accounts, your credit score may start to improve (providing
you have not had any subsequent credit problems
- Can I still use my credit cards?
- Any card not entered into the program
(and that is of your choice), will still be available to you for any
emergencies that might arise in every day life. Of all the
available options to you, our program is the most accommodating.
However we strongly discourage our clients from running up more credit
while in the program.
- How much does your service cost?
- Eclipse Financial Services charges a
nominal service fee of $50 per month during the term of the program.
All our fees are fully
disclosed and require your signature for approval before you enter our
program.
- Will Eclipse Financial stop creditors calling?
- No. We are here to help you. We will
coach you on how to handle creditors efficiently and successfully. If
collector calls get to the point to where they are overwhelming, we
enroll our customers with a consumer advocacy network (a
service that is included with the program). This consumer
advocacy network will continually keep you informed of your rights and
help mitigate or possibly eliminate harassing creditor phone calls.
They will also represent you in potential litigation against
collectors if they violate the terms of the Fair Debt Collection
Practices Act, a federal law designed to protect consumers against
collector abuse.
- Can I negotiate my debts with my creditors on my own?
You
certainly have the right and ability to negotiate on your own
behalf. However, keeping in mind that the settlement process
is a difficult and extremely tedious process and teaming with high
powered lawyers that work on behalf of the creditors. We bring
that equality on your behalf.
